There are now quite a few recording studios Leeds has to offer. All of them trying to convince you that theirs is infact the very best Leeds Recording Studio. Unfortunately when it boils down to it you need to know what you are looking for so you can see past the marketing bluffs that most recording studios in Leeds use. Do your research and don't just accept their words!!!
I have in my 20 years of experience been in and out of recording studios in leeds, london, and all over the place, and heard just about every pile of nonsense waffled by sparkly eyed studio engineers you're every going to hear. Occasionally you get to record with a genuine engineer who, has the right kit and doesn't just pretend he knows how to use it, he actually does know how to use it. Listen to some samples. Ask how long it took, ask if he thinks that the kit you as a band are using will actually get you the sound you want on a CD. Your amps might sound good live but do they sound good in a recording studio? Are the amps he has in his studio going to get you a great tone? Are the mics? Pre amps etc etc?I was in a signed band for many years, toured, and supported big bands, but now-a-days I work with just about any band who is seaking a very good quality recording here at my recording studio in Leeds. I do help bands who just want a quick demo also, but be realistic, a quick demo isn't going to sound as good as a properly produced demo. If any recording studios in leeds tell you differently, be bothered. Go and look online in the recording forums and ask around for what you should expect to get when recording at any recording studios in leeds..
